GOAL MET
FOR MATCHING FUND!
The Building Dreams: Matching Fund for the Friar Ag Center initiative aimed to eliminate all outstanding debt associated with the recent enhancements to the Friar Ag Center, Rodeo Arena, and the new Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Harvey Mueller, every donation made through May 31 was matched dollar-for-dollar up to $750K. By investing in the future of our community, you helped to ensure a brighter future for our youth and our community, particularly the 4-H and FFA Youth of DeWitt County. Our goal was not only met but exceed! Total raised by May 31st - $897K! Harvey Muellar has matched $750K and ALL debt has been paid for the Friar Ag Center.
LOOKING AHEAD
FUTURE GENERATIONS
The expansion created a state-of-the-art facility for 4-H, FFA, and FCCLA youth. The Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building now hosts the annual Cuero Livestock Show and accommodates agricultural and youth events year-round. It also offers a controlled environment for exhibitors to showcase and sell their animal projects at auctions. In addition, the venue is available to rent throughout the year for weddings, events and fundraisers throughout the year. Alongside the new building, the project included a full renovation of the existing Friar Ag Center.
